Ashwini is a Seattle-based artist, originally from Mumbai, India. Her contemporary paintings are inspired by Gond art, a living tribal folk art tradition from India. While her style draws on the visual language of Gond art, her paintings are inspired by her own experiences, observations of nature, and the stories of people.
